Oh boy. Well the power clean was a match of my previous PR about a year ago, but the quality of this lift was far better. Amy said my feet went just a little bit wide on the catch but the elbow position was far better. Almost had 320lbs but the bar hit me in the chest because I didn't drop far enough.
Not too much to report on the metcon. I simply tried to keep a pace. Sometimes my method worked, sometimes it didn't. I was about middle of the pack for the event but I keep reminding myself that I was probably the second heaviest competitor (262lbs) at the event.
Going to start incorporating simple metcons into most sessions from here on out. Goodbye tummy fat!
